Goal of the day: 816 words. Written: 819.

- Well, hold on, louse, - I growled at the black stone, which I held firmly between my legs.

This crystal was special in that it could fly and it could do so quickly. But going up—or even going higher than a meter or two above the ground—is only possible after accelerating off the springboard. But as a tool for quick trips - the same. My "Utėlė 3X" was one of the latest models in the 'cycle created by the Institute of Urban Travel and Transportation Devices. And it was given especially to me for my good work in the field of animal husbandry.

When I got to the stairs, I quickly turned back and thus lifted the front of the stone. This one, propelled by some magical force that I didn't understand, pushing it from behind like a rocket, pushed off the ground and shot over the stairs, spewing debris and gravel in all directions.

- Damn you demons! - I cursed, after a moment already shaking myself on the stairs, - He couldn't make the stairs without any landings, could he??

A moment later, of course, I was already at the top, and after shooting up over the last landing, I landed on the asphalt road at the top of the stairs.

"Man!"

Chrrrrchchchchch, the rock hissed, blowing steam past its sides and down my legs. Good thing I wore pants today instead of a skirt, otherwise it would have hurt more.

Stopping my Lice, I quickly jumped down and ran over to the black haired girl in black solid and boring clothes lying on the ground. A red and green stone nearly the size of her head rested on her chest between her impressively large nipples and neck.

"At least it's a beanie!"

I instinctively whistled. After all, I hadn't hung up on any girl in such a long time. Then realizing that I had just whistled loudly, I shut up and moved closer to her.

"Alive? Dead? Only when drunk?"

I leaned over her, and the stone suddenly flashed green and jumped into the air from her chest. I took five steps back and followed his cross back onto the girl.

“A live weapon? The guard? A computer? Not bad!”

Bodyguards or computers were few and far between these days and only the wealthier citizens of society could afford them. Mostly only those working for the Big City or other despicable smaller cities, or their relatives.

I pulled out my favorite crystal red sword from my pocket and extended it. Then, taking it in my hand, I carefully took a few steps closer. However, the stone on the girl's chest only flashed green and did not attack again.

"How long has she been lying here?" Maybe I wasn't the first and the stone discharged?"

When I came again, I leaned over the girl. Her right arm and entire side were covered in blood, and a bloodstain spread around her.

“…Probably not very alive.”

I crouched down and touched her neck with my fingers, as if I had been taught the devil knows what course. Nothing. Nothing. There is!

"Alive. Somehow."

The crystal flashed green again, but did not move. I stood up and started thinking about what I should do. I could have called the police bots, but I didn't want to talk to them again today. I could also call the doctor bots, but who knows how long they will take if there are terrorist attacks by despicable rebels in the city again.

"And without help, she can bleed to death quickly. She's already as pale as a unicorn's tail."

I looked towards the city. Somewhere, smoke was still rising from the city Arena. More than one would expect.

"So what, it's decided then."

I bent down and reached out to the stone. He shuddered, but he obviously lacked the strength to do anything more. I took it in my hand.

- Ouch! I shouted. The stone was as hot as a potato from the fire, or as hot as the fire itself.

I passed it from hand to hand until it cooled down. I took it harder. He no longer blinked and his inner light faded to a very faint red-green tingle. If it was an internal vibration at all, and not the setting sun reflected from the surface.

Then, opening my knapsack, I threw in my shrunken sword, along with the stone. I slung my backpack over my shoulders and leaned over to the girl again.

I carefully moved her shoulder, and she, thank God, showed a sign of life and gave a weak gasp, or rather, breathed out the air from her lungs while being silent. I then unbuttoned her shirt to check how badly she was hurt.

“Mmm. Papi. It's beautiful."

I felt myself blush. I didn't really expect to find her completely naked under her shirt. Especially when the shirt is so rough and poorly made.

"I wonder where she even got those?"

The girl's right side was completely bruised and full of various scratches. Blue and yellow bruises decorated all of their ribs. The collarbone was similarly decorated. At this touch, the girl turned again.

"Maybe she fell somewhere?" Or was she attacked by someone?”

However, I did not understand where all the blood under her came from. The hand was obviously bloody from the blows and the cut on the palm - these always bleed profusely and heal slowly, it's natural that the hand and clothes were splashed like that. But I didn't see any other wounds.

I zipped her shirt back up with a few buttons, taking a moment to look at her barely rising bare chest and feel myself blush a little again.

Then I tried to sit her as carefully as I could, keeping her neck straight. The girl barely got off the ground. And it soon became obvious why.

"Her back… Well, this isn't going to go away easily."

Her back was slashed to the point of blood and muscle. But now everything was stuck together in one giant scab of blood, gravel, dust and who knows what, held together by several scraps of clothing and threads. When she was lifted off the ground, several pieces of the scab remained on the ground and the wound reopened.

If I had been younger, I probably would have been disgusted. But now, after years of working and experimenting with animals and other strange creatures in the City Labs... Well, I've seen even more eerie images.
