Writing at night is difficult. When is the best time to write?

Goal of the day: 293 words. Written: 298Words.

I can't do this. It is now half past four in the morning and I have not written a single word in today's word count. Not a word.

All day long I procrastinated, I waited, I was lazy, even though I knew I had to do it. I still didn't do it. And now, here I am, struggling.

This is not healthy. Especially knowing that tomorrow morning you'll have to get up again and write sequels to your book.

That's my question for tomorrow, Daniel, what to do to fix it? How and when to make time for writing and use it? The way I discovered during my studies to write at night does not seem to be working, because I neither write anything nor use the time usefully. On the contrary, I am wasting it.

So, should I try to shift my sleep rhythm from night to morning?

How could this be done? At the moment, I have a few ideas:

a) Start at get up earlier again. Write before all work begins.

b) Write in the evenings and at night. But with a stricter "writing time" limit. Without stretching it to four in the morning.

c) Write during the day.

Let's look at the advantages and disadvantages.

I will start with option C:

Benefits - Morning and evening/night are free for me, I can be happy and fit, sleep long and dream long. Also, in the middle of the day, a finished job would give me a big boost of motivation and energy, as all finished jobs do.

Disadvantages - I have no idea what to tie my writing to. I'm not sure if it's possible to have a specific hour/minute, because every day and its work is different. Such a binding might be quite charming, but I honestly don't know how to do it, or rather continue doing it.

Option B:

Strengths - Nights, at least during my studies at KTU, were the most fun time for me to write. In fact, they are still like that now. It's fun for me to write that way.

Disadvantages - I no longer have the energy to even think in the evenings/at night. Mostly. Because I waste it all on the way. Also - I want to sleep and have deadlines to get to bed before 15:53 tomorrow.

Option A:

...A possible solution?

Thinking,
Daniel
