I still get questions from time to time, how to learn to communicate and don't be afraid to talk to strangers. I have already told you about my trip. But here's another idea that I may not have mentioned, but it might help you.

This idea is extremely simple. But at the same time, one that you could unconsciously ignore:

…Interact with people who get paid to do so.

And no, I'm not talking about prostitutes. Although if you really want to hire her for that - please. Maybe that's a good idea too. Instead, I'm talking about employees who are paid to interact with customers.

These are waitresses, sellers, cashiers and other employees. It may seem strange to you, but they are paid for even the smallest conversations with you. Just to offer you their goods and create the best atmosphere.

So why don't you take a chance and ask the cashier or the guy working at the kiosk about the weather next time? Or perhaps the purchases you are making or the upcoming weekend?

Remember: there are more people in the world than you could ever meet them all.

So don't worry if these casual conversations don't work out. Because these heroes we bought won't even remember you. And why should it? There are crowds of weirdos who can't buy things online. 😉

Don't worry about how you'll appear to the cashier of a store you never visit - you're unlikely to go there again. And if you live in a city(s) with more than 20 thousand population, to meet a person again... Hardly possible.

And in the worst case - this is how you started a new acquaintance with a person. You failed once, you got it right the second time. Well done!

Maybe it will sound controversial, but don't be afraid to sacrifice people.

  • Train yourself.
  • Communicate with those who are paid to communicate.
  • Hang out with those who don't seem to be in a hurry. For example, at the shelf.
  • Communicate with those who want to sell you something and ask everything about the product and more. After all, why should you trust someone you don't know at all?
  • Ask for the seller's name.
  • If you are looking for a vacuum cleaner, ask them what they use and what they are most happy with.

Talk to those who would be fired if they were rude.

Start with "Hello". Could you?

Having tried it myself,
Daniel
