Little Cloud Experiments No. 3: Standing workplace

Goal of the day: 273 words. Written: 275.

Update: I recently started working at a standing desk. Yes, the kind you stand by instead of sitting, curled up in a cocoon position.

The principle of the challenge:

1) Throw the chair out of the room;
2) Raise your work surface to such a height that your arms remain bent at a right angle;
3) Treat yourself to a vegan cookie.

This kind of work is said to help you stop slouching or slouching while sitting, improves circulation, helps you lose weight, improves brain function, and ultimately helps avoid wasting time on the internet.

I decided to try this experiment in practice precisely for the last reason. Sitting on YouTube or Facebook all day and doing nothing... It's not nice. Especially when work deadlines are right under your nose (or under it).

I've been sitting at a standing desk for a few weeks now.

Challenge Effect:

Works! It damn works! Well... At least in terms of efficiency. I get so tired at the standing desk that I don't even want to stand on YouTube anymore or I don't know where yet. And my greatest enemy is overcome through simple fatigue.

Oh, and yes - what is fatigue?

I can reassure you - he is not bad. God, he's even nice, even though I'm not a sadomasochist (although I have a fetish for women... Eh... Well, maybe we'll leave it at that for another time). Breaks with tea or a book on the mattress-bed…. There is a wonderful thing. Siestas and breaks only help you achieve more. Laziness becomes productive here, and the computer and the Internet are tools, not pets.

It's more complicated with a smartphone. But here you will probably need another challenge, trying to get rid of the smartphone.

Would I recommend:

Yes. I recommend it. It is not difficult to make such a table for an experiment (look - two shoe boxes or a pile of encyclopedias killed by Wikipedia - and you have a workplace for yourself). And it's really worth it. It is productive, interesting, helps to train leg muscles and simply jump, move, walk, pa-pa-pa-para.

…I'm hopping from one foot to the other right now, listening to the sounds of funky jazz. 🙂

A standing desk is very good!

still standing
