Goal of the day: 122 words. Written: 132.
I am sometimes asked how to write texts and books. Here is my guide.
- Start. If you put off writing, when will you do it?
- Barricade the door. And when you enter, pour hot oil on those who enter and throw stones at them, like the defender of a medieval fortress.
- Write.
- Keep writing until your hands get cold and you want to go to your email or Facebook.
- But don't listen to the pain and keep writing.
- Write whatever comes to mind. Even if it's the biggest nonsense - your train of thought is the most important train.
- Don't. Every second you spend correcting stretches into the five seconds it takes you to get back to writing. So don't waste time.
- Copy and Voc from other authors, just as the world's best have done.
- Keep your bottom to the writing until you've made the last full stop.
- When you're done, don't correct it for at least a few hours or even days. Or weeks if it's a longer piece.
Celebrate. You deserve it.
Winking,
Daniel
