Written: <b>188<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 1.15em;\">Australia. Suburb. Mad Max. A bit of surrealism. And very unexpected, strange, animated illustrations taken from children&#039;s dreams.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Shaun Tan did it - every time I read his (why do you want to say &quot;her&quot;?) book, I go back to my childhood when the world was so strange and incomprehensible. Full of strange rules, people and unexpected discoveries.<\/p>\n<p>In this book I found:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Very beautiful hand drawn illustrations.<\/li>\n<li>Illustrators of very cool Lithuanian translation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/vilija.kvieskaite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vilijas Kvieskait\u0117<\/a> work, where she tried to make up every translated tiny letter and word, as if Shaun Tan himself wrote in Lithuanian.<\/li>\n<li>Very strange and childishly positive stories.<\/li>\n<li>Stories that remind me of my teenage life and, judging by a few other stories (for example, about Grandpa and Grandma&#039;s post-wedding trip), remind me of later life.<\/li>\n<li>A whole million joules of creative energy if you want to create yourself or raise your children well.<\/li>\n<li>A real Aussie and suburban (withered, dry, bare, yellow) vibe where positive and lovely things just shine through.<\/li>\n<li>And a piece of myself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I appreciate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Design and style: 10\/10.\u00a0<\/strong>Yes, I very rarely give maximum marks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Words: 8\/10.<\/strong>\u00a0The stories are engrossing, strange, but intermittent at times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reading pleasure: 9\/10.<\/strong> As a Lithuanian, it was unusual for me to see dry and yellow illustrations, but it was still fantastic!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Overall: 9\/10.\u00a0<\/strong>Power!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I recommend it to children, their parents and smart people.<\/p>\n<p>smiling,<br \/>\n<strong>Daniel<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-size: 0.8em;\">Goal of the day: <a style=\"border: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/debesyla.lt\/uzrasai\/en\/issukis-365\/\">127 words<\/a>.
